Zen Wushu Martial Arts Summer Camp

What is Wushu?

Wushu is a Chinese martial art that incorporates various styles of combat and self-defense techniques. It is also known as Chinese Kung Fu, and it has a history that dates back over 4000 years. Wushu focuses on improving physical fitness, mental discipline, and spiritual awareness. Modern Wushu has become an international sport governed by the International Wushu Federation (IWUF) and is set to make its Olympic debut in the Youth Olympic Games 2026 in Dakar. 


Zen Wushu's Martial Arts Camp

For Children Age 6+

Learn and Build Wushu foundations.
Improve strength, speed, flexibility, agility, balance and endurance.
Develop confidence, self-control, body awareness, good posture and team work skills.

Week-long full day camp from 9AM - 3PM, with healthy lunch included.
Early drop-off and late pick-up care available at additional cost.
Free camp tee-shirt for each camper per week.
Half day camp available for Morning or Afternoon sessions.

Week #2: July 08 - July 12
Week #3: July 15 - July 19

Week #7: Aug 12 - Aug 16
Week #8: Aug 19 - Aug 23
Week #9: Aug 26 - Aug 30
***Note: There is no camp for the week of July 4th.

Week-Long Camp Daily Schedule
  • Full-day camp schedule:
    • Core camp hours 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
    • Lunch included. Healthy lunch box from East Flour.
  • Half day camp schedule:
    • Morning session 9:00 - 12:00
    • Afternoon session 12:00 - 3:00 
  • Before & after care:
    • 8:00 - 9:00 AM - Early drop-off (additional fee $10/day). 
    • 3:00 - 6:00 PM - Late pick-up care (additional fee $20/day)

Campers can bring healthy breakfast for early drop-off.
Campers must wear comfortable and easy to move-in clothing such as tee-shirt and stretchable/loose pants or shorts, and must wear socks. 
Training shoes not required but available for purchase at $18/pair.
Campers should bring water with them. No soda or sugary drinks permitted in the gym.


Camp Cost:
  • Full Day $425/week (Lunch and Camp Tee-shirt included)
  • Half Day $250/week (Camp Tee-shirt included)

5% off multiple weeks
5% off sibling discount
10% off early bird registration 
(Summer camp sign-up before March 15th.)
Total discount accumulation not to exceed 20% per camper.


Registration Policies:
Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Campers withdrawing from any week-long programs must notify Zen Wushu at least one week prior to the start day in order to receive a full refund. 
Campers withdrawing from any week-long programs less than one week prior to the start day will receive a 50% refund. 
No refunds will be granted after the start of the camp program, regardless of attendance. 
Zen Wushu reserves the right to cancel any program that does not meet enrollment requirements.

AGREEMENT

 LIABILITY WAIVER

TRAINING RISKS: I understand the risks involved when participating in Zen Wushu Academy's athletic activity. I agree that the participant(s), whether myself, child, or minor, are medically and physically able to be involved in such athletic activity. I understand that I should consult a physician before any type of athletic activity. I discharge, waive, and release any claims for losses or damages, mental and/or physical injury, or death, that may take place during or after participation with Zen Wushu Academy. I agree to assume these risks. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zen Wushu Academy or any director, officer, employee, volunteer, or coach associated with Zen Wushu Academy from any losses, damages, costs, injuries, or death that may occur with Zen Wushu Academy activity in any facility or location (outdoor or indoor) in which Zen Wushu Academy operates. I agree that I am responsible and liable for such costs, losses, liabilities, damages, injuries, deaths that may occur and I promise not to sue Zen Wushu Academy or any director, officer, employee, volunteer, coach, or person associated with Zen Wushu Academy.

PHOTO RELEASE WAIVER: I hereby grant Zen Wushu Academy the permission to use my likeness in a photograph, video, or other digital media (“photo”) in any and all of its publications, including web-based publications, without payment or other consideration. I understand and agree that all photos will become the property of Zen Wushu Academy and will not be returned. I hereby irrevocably authorize Zen Wushu Academy to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, or distribute these photos for any lawful purpose. In addition, I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the photo. I hereby hold harmless, release, and forever discharge Zen Wushu Academy from all claims, demands, and causes of action which I, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf or on behalf of my estate have or may have by reason of this authorization.

CODE OF CONDUCT: All participants at Zen Wushu Academy are expected to maintain high standards of moral and ethical conduct that includes self-control and responsible behavior. Both students and parents must display courtesy and good manners and consider the physical and emotional well-being of others by treating everyone with respect. No bad behavior, disrespect of others and/or their property, or abuse of the equipment and/or the facility will be tolerated. Be respectful to yourself, others, and the facility. Criticizing other Students is not tolerated. Support fellow to do their best. Show good sportsmanship towards your teammates and peers. Children misbehaving, creating a distraction, or being a risk to other students will be asked to sit out. Three times in a session and their parents will be contacted, if misbehavior continues, you will be asked to withdraw your child from their class.
